SupplyTracker

ASP.NET MVC application for managing shipments between companies – built on Clean/Onion Architecture.

Written by myself – before the AI era.

  • C#
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • EF Core
  • Clean Architecture

Overview

SupplyTracker manages shipments between companies: sender and receiver companies, contacts, addresses, statistics and reports.

Technology

  • Clean/Onion Architecture with clear separation of concerns
  • Data access with Entity Framework Core (Code First)
  • Model to DTO mapping with AutoMapper
  • Validation with FluentValidation
  • Modular and extensible via dependency injection

What I learned

SOLID and Clean Architecture not just from the textbook, but in a real application: dependencies point inwards, the business logic knows nothing about the database, validation and mapping are kept separate. That keeps the backend extensible – and testable.
